Cheap Shots: Haven’t Done This In a While

I’m gonna try and get better about the link dumping. I suck about this. Check the email addy at the top of the page if you’d like to send something in.

  • If you’ve noticed that Bill Simmons has kind of disappeared from the Four Letter, well, you’re not alone — Leitch tries to get some answers, and gets something about “unkept promises”. [Deadspin]
  • Is David West not getting as much pub because of a boring name? [Free Darko]
  • AL and NL All-Star squads for less than the cost of the Marlins’ payroll. [Simon on Sports]
  • The SI Swimsuit Issue jinx, for athletes appearing with their wives. [Your Face Is A Sports Blog]
  • Arizona State cuts three teams; blame either Title IX or the cheerleaders appearing in their lingerie. [Sports by Brooks]
  • Even though he’s out of the playoffs, here’s a primer/appreciation of the Flames’ Jarome Iginla. [The Starting Five]
  • Kyle Lohse’s confidence must be very fragile, if Tony La Russa’s plea to get a hit changed to an error is any proof. [Can’t Stop The Bleeding]
  • More Cardinal fun: Yadier Molina gets so pissed off with a balls-and-strikes call that he takes off all his equipment. [Babes Love Baseball]
  • Can Mike D’Antoni salvage the current Knicks roster? MODI makes a good case. [Sports on My Mind]
  • Reggie Miller, getting his Goose on. (Yes, I’m hurting America by linking to this.) [Don Chavez]
  • Despite what Tony Kornheiser has become on Monday Night Football, the news of him accepting a buyout from the Washington Post is a sad note. [DC Sports Bog]

  1. Thanks for the link to us, S2N. We’re going to do some linking to other blogs at some point, promise. It’s just taking a little while to get settled and cover the NBA play-offs.

  2. S2N, let me take it a step further… that has nothing to do with any personal links — although appreciated. If I haven’t expressed it before let me say that I appreciate your attempts to link to various corners of the blogosphere… in many ways you are a unifying blog presence and that is good…

  3. Guys, you’re welcome.

  4. thanks homie :)

  5. How often do you yourself play basball and what position, or do you just write about it?

Can I ask though – how did you get this picked up and into google news?

Very impressive that this blog is syndicated through Google and is it something that is just up to Google or you actively created?

Obviously this is a popular blog with great data so well done on your seo success..

Baseball greats you should write about next!
