Kings 94, Hornets 90 – Chris Paul called it the worst loss of the season, the one where the Hornets now have to watch what the Spurs do against the Lakers in a few hours after allowing Ron Artest to hit 4 crucial 3’s in the 4th quarter for 22 points total. Now, New Orleans is deadlocked with the Lake Show for the first slot in the Western Conference.
Jazz 124, Nuggets 97 – Denver isn’t taking much advantage of the opportunity to put a lock on the final playoff spot. The Jazz get 37 assists on their 50 made field goals thanks to poor defense and the Nuggets help by shooting a little less than 60% from the free throw line.
Warriors 122, Clippers 116 – Stephen Jackson helps keep Golden State tied for that eighth spot, even though the Nuggets hold the tiebreaker right now. As they say, everyone in the Bay Area is a Rockets fan tonight.
Celtics 99, Hawks 89 – I can only imagine that Sam Cassell was doing the testicle dance last night. Everyone’s favorite basketball alien/old man led the Boston back-ups in the 4th quarter with 15 of his 20 points in the fouth quarter and kept the Hawks from clinching the eighth seed in the East.
