Stealing Signals: We Want To Believe…

Cardinals 16, Pirates 4 – Two home runs, seven RBIs, and one hell of a story for Cardinals outfielder Rick Ankiel, as St. Louis destroys the side masquerading as a baseball team in Pittsburgh. However, it’s not all rosy for Ankiel (which I’ll address in the next post.)

Tigers 3, White Sox 2 – Sean Casey and Placido Polanco nail run-scoring singles off White Sox closer Bobby Jenks to steal the game from the South Siders.

Red Sox 7, Orioles 6 – Home runs from David Ortiz and Coco Crisp help, but Jason Varitek drives in the go-ahead single in the ninth to get the win.

Dodgers 7, Cubs 4 – Ah, Ryan Dumpster, back to his old ways. He gave up a four-run rally in the top of the ninth, capped by a three-run homer from Andre Ethier.

Angels 10, Indians 3 – Garret Anderson keeps hitting like this and the Angels have the inside track on the AL pennant. He’s had at least one RBI in the last 11 games, adding three more in this one while Vlad sits.
