(Video from Awful Announcing.)
So, how do you come back from 20 points down to ultimately win? The Lakers stole this one out from the under the Spurs on their home court, thanks to the defense remembering how to play in the second half and Kobe finally getting himself in some form of gear. The Spurs shot atrociously in the 4th quarter, going 3-for-21 as the lead slipped away, and Kobe hit his final jumper for the go-ahead bucket with 23 seconds left. Absolutely exhilarating to watch and mystifying in the sense that San Antonio just does not do that; they do not give up when they have leads that big. Still….whew.
