Barry Bonds hit this shot off of Clay Hensley in the 2nd inning at Petco Park to tie Henry Aaron. ESPN blacked out the Giants/Padres in my area again, so I didn’t see Bud Selig stand up and keep his hands in his pockets. Regardless of where you come down on Barry Bonds, I think it’s safe to say that whatever Bud Selig feels about it, he should likely stew in his own guilt regarding the matter. Whether Bonds used or not, he has been convicted in the court of public opinion as a cheat, as the last big name of the steroid era standing, and I only hope that people save as much ire for the commish as they may unload on Barry in the papers tomorrow.
I suppose there’s some irony in the fact that Hensley was suspended for violating the steroid policy two years ago.
